Jefferson Chairman named one of ‘most influential political players in Virginia!’

Michael Thompson, Chairman and President of the Thomas Jefferson Institute, was named in the June 2011 edition of the prestigious Campaigns and Elections magazine as one of the “most influential political players in Virginia.” Although the Jefferson Institute is a non-partisan public policy foundation, Thompson is listed as one of the top 30 most influential Republicans in the Commonwealth because of his relationship with Governor Bob McDonnell and his leadership as co-chairman of the Government Reform Issues Group during the 2009 gubernatorial campaign. This designation shows the impact that the Jefferson Institute has in Virginia and the importance of its “idea generation” and why its designation as a “solutions tank” is accurate.
