Jefferson Debate Series: Living With Climate Change! — On May 14, the Thomas Jefferson Institute for Public Policy sponsored the first in a televised series of public policy debate on Richmond's "Community Idea Station", WCVE-TV.  The debate featured Dr. Davis Schnare, director of the Jefferson Institute's Center for energy and Environmental Stewardship and director of the Energy & Environmental Law Institute, facing off with Glen Besa, director of the Virginia Chapter of the Sierra club.  If you missed it, you can watch it by clicking here.

Hospitals and the Proposed Medicaid Expansion — There are more efficient ways than expanding Medicaid to keep small, rural hospitals open.  That's the conclusion of a new study issued by the Thomas Jefferson Institute, analyzing the reasons the hospital industry supports Medicaid expansion and noting that larger, profitable hospitals would receive most of the additional funding that would come from Medicaid expansion.  Read It Here!
